humanitarian award

​Humanitarianism runs strongly through all our volunteers, donors and those involved with our programs, but WOFKC recognizes the particular humanitrianism of those who have been instrumental in helping those we serve.

In 2009, Jim and Teresa Lippert participated in our first Golf Classic, benefitting the Mobile Medical Unit in the Philippines and its associated missions. Faced with a rather low numbers of golfers,  Dr. Tony Racela Jr. asked his neighbors, Jim and Teresa,  if the Golf Classic should continue.  They said “Do it!! We’ll get the golfers”. As Honorary Chairs of the 2010 Golf Classic at Loch Lloyd, they not only came through on their promise, but secured a number of generous donations, making the event an unprecedented success.
 
Jim and Teresa own CRESS Management, a leading real estate developer and management company based in Kansas City, Missouri, with properties in 5 states. They started the business in 1996 and built it into a major company with 7,000 condominiums and apartments under management. They also manage the JTL Equity Fund portfolio of real estate.
 
As of last year, they have received 13 national and local Industry Awards for developing and renovating communities with the highest quality, creating a perfect blend of maintenance free living with enhanced lifestyles and lasting value.
 
As Teresa puts it “There is a way to get some things done, even when it seems impossible”. The leadership and generosity of Jim and Teresa Lippert  inspire us to continue this Charity Golf Classic. The Lipperts are involved in a lot of charitable organizations including Co-Chairing the American Diabetes Association fund raiser last year. We are honored and grateful for their interest and leadership in our mission to help the needy.
